Fantasy Football Talk

Postby Bigcheese » Wed Jul 08, 2015 7:49 pm

This is my dynasty league. We are keeping 10 players, (a lot, I know). I had Marshawn Lynch, but traded him for the first overall pick and I also have the 9th overall pick.

I'm going Gordon with the first pick. I'm hoping for Ameer Abdullah, Duke Johnson or David Cobb with my 9th overall pick, possible a WR.

Looking at the list below, which 10 players would you pick? Its a non PPR and we play with a flex position.

Rodgers, Aaron GBP QB
Bush, Reggie SFO RB
Carey, Ka'Deem CHI RB
Freeman, Devonta ATL RB
Mathews, Ryan PHI RB
Rainey, Bobby TBB RB
Rice, Ray FA* RB
Ridley, Stevan NYJ RB
Robinson, Denard JAC RB
Taliaferro, Lorenzo BAL RB
Garcon, Pierre WAS WR
Harvin, Percy BUF WR
Hopkins, DeAndre HOU WR
Jeffery, Alshon CHI WR
Johnson, Charles MIN WR
Quick, Brian STL WR
Allen, Dwayne IND TE
Fleener, Coby IND TE
Thomas, Julius JAC TE
Vinatieri, Adam IND PK
Bengals, Cincinnati CIN Def
Packers, Green Bay GBP Def

thank you,
BC
RIP Peace Jeff

Hopefully if you keep Freeman you can get Coleman with your #9.

I had trouble keeping 10....Bush was my 10th keeper. You're thin at RB.
Meh.

Thank you GL, yes am extremely thin at RB. I thought about keeping Lorenzo Taliaferro though, because I think he leads the pack for 2nd string RBs.

No go on Ryan Matthews?

No PPR....don't know how many times Snowflake (Mathews) will touch the ball. Murray is first in line, then you also have Sproles there.

I don't think I can make the case that any of the RBs as Keeper #10 would be wrong tho.
Meh.

I'd keep Matthews due to the fact that Murray has been hurt every year of his career and virtually every back with as many carries as he had in a season last year breaks down the following year.

That is a very good point.

I'd keep Percy. He's gonna put up points in Buffalo. I'd also consider keeping Denard Robinson and trying to pair him with TJ Yeldon at #9.

I would keep snowflake Matthews over a 30 year old RB in Reggie Bush that is the 3rd RB in a bad offense in SF.

I would love to get TJ Yeldon at 9, but he won't fall that far. If this was a PPR league he would last until 9, but everyone wants that young stud RB in the 1st Rd.

I made some trades and now have 1st, 7th and 9th pick in the first Rd.

I plan to go Gordon, Abdullah, and Nelson Agholor. If some how Yeldon or Coleman fall, I will take them.

In everyone's early opinion, who are the top 5 rookie WRs?

In terms of fantasy drafting? Probably who has been said. In terms of actually producing--at least early?

1. Amari Cooper
2. Jalen Strong
3. Tyler Lockett
4. Kevin White
5. DGB

I'm unconventional, though
