Fantasy Football Talk

Cheesy topics (like the Cheese Curds thread) go here. Topics that aren't football related will be moved here as well.

Mmmm.... cheese.

Football Outsiders breaks down defense vs types of receivers. It isn't fantasy production, but it's still something I look at a lot.

New England is:

22nd against #1 receivers
20th against #2 receivers
21st against "other WR"
4th against TE
17th against RB (receiving)
Cheese curds...

are good.

And I suspect Miami will be passing. A lot.

Think I'll be playing Landry.

How does Denver look against slot WRs?

Their only weakness, where they're merely average, is TEs. They're top five everything else, and first in the league against "other WRs."

I think it all comes back to their pass rush vs our pass protection. If we give Aaron some time, we can win in the middle of the field and hopefully get a few shots on the boundary, as well.

I probably had my worst day yet playing DFS yesterday. I had 9 total contests going. I have a chance to win a little money tonight. But in most of my other NFL contests, I did about as bad as I could have.

1 contest I was only about 500 entries from the bottom...of over 160k entries. Injuries, guys who were active and didn't play at all (John Brown), or just under-performing.

The good thing though? Is I've won money on a few NBA contests. Seems like its a little easier to win on those. Just make sure you have a couple of the big dogs and get lucky on 1 other guy and you are in the money.

Here's hoping Cam and Olsen have big nights tonight. I think I've got Gore too in 1. Paco needs to win some big money, otherwise X-mas is cancelled this year!

Buck up, paco - you scored the second highest in the auction league.

That was just a plain fun weekend for me, but I'm going to be expecting 60 or more from Drew Brees from here on out...

Actually went 4-0 in regular fantasy and won $21 in DFS, so I'm a little more chipper at this point. :banana

(don't think of that banana as mocking you, really)

Awesome work.

I recent had to add in my SS# for tax purposes on Fandual and Draft Kings.

I have been thinking about trying basketball leagues.

Oh yeah?

I bought 500 shares of GE in the spring at 24 and change.

It closed at 29.60 today. And it paid a dividend in June and Sept.
Meh.

Well, I suppose with Lacy being demoted my hopes for a money league comeback just got demoted with him. Made him the no.1 overall pick this year. What a bust!

Who remembers that thread earlier this year proclaiming top backs never bust in fantasy? Yeah, right...

Lacy is still going to be the workhorse, I predict. This demotion will get him fired up, and he'll look good enough vs. the Low-ones.

If it's any consolation, it was between Lacy and LeVeon Bell for the top choice. Either way would have been tough to overcome.

I played a $2 100 personal NBA DFL last night on Fandual and came in 2nd by 1 point. Still won $30.

This as my third time doing an NBA DFL, I think the method is to spread out the salary through your whole team and play guys that are playing at home. Yes it's nice to have the big hitters like Curry or James, but they cost a lot of your salary.
