Getting Rid of a Cold

Postby Papa John » Thu Sep 17, 2015 6:54 pm

Been fighting this dang thing for a few days now. Not that bad, just annoying. Anyone have any secret weapons that they use to fight colds? I only take medicine as a last resort.

Beer and rum you'll forget you even had one and will sleep like a rock.

For sinus pressure, I'm a Nyquil guy. Its the only medicine I do believe in. Eat healthy, fruits and veggies. Mix in a drink of your choice (works for me). Sleep.

Nyquil to sleep really helps. Zinc will shorten the duration of colds.

For symptoms, Delsum or the liquid Mucinex (they are the same thing) work really well. A netti pot is good if your sinuses are clogged. They clog back up, but it is nice to clean them out.

Other than that just get as much sleep as you can. It will go away much faster if you sleep more.
