2016 Draft Chatter

Postby BF004 » Mon May 04, 2015 4:28 pm

Never too early. Was a bad year this year for following, plan on getting back into the swing of things this year again.

Anyone interested in working with NCF and I, need a solid commitment, we have a few idea and would love to spread some labor and perhaps incorporate some more ideas.

Hackenberg will bounce back and be the #1 overall pick. When he gets just enough protection he is a legit franchise QB prospect.

He makes mistakes in this game, but you can see the NFL qualities in his arm, pocket presence, legs, reading skills. He leads a nice 2nd half comeback in this game.

Meh.

Let's draft Miles Jack. But let's not be a bad enough team to make that a reality.

Just wanted to point out that the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel has a bio today on almost all on the UDFA except those who are coming in for tryouts.

I'd be curious to see how many picks that were projected to be taken #1 right after the prior year's draft actually went that high, or even close to it, in the actual draft. Manziel was pretty much unanimous to go #1 after the 2013 draft I'm pretty sure. We all know what happened there.

Winston was definitely the favorite to go #1 and he did.

Not sure why I'm just getting to this but...I kinda feel he shouldn't have gone #1 after the season he had. To each their own though.

In recent years, the #1 guys in the preseason have been:
2015-Jameis Winston (1st overall, Buccaneers)
2014-Jadeveon Clowney (1st overall, Texans)
2013-Logan Thomas (4th, practice squad Dolphins)
2012-Andrew Luck (1st overall, Colts)
2011-Jake Locker (1st round, out of league)
2010-Jevan Snead (UDFA, out of league)

I need to post in here more often. I haven't done much outside of Twitter this year between watching NFL nationally for gambling, watching CFB nationally for scouting, working a second job and coaching HS football. Crazy couple months, but I'll have ~15 hours a week free after we beat our rival next Thursday.

I don't know much about scouting college players, but every time I watch Tyler Boyd (WR, Pitt) I just feel like he's the best player on the field. So smooth and fluid, his long stride makes him seem deceptively fast. Kinda reminds me of Jordy in that respect.

Crisp in his routes. Capable while taking handoffs out of the backfield. A talented PR and KR, too. Has even thrown a pass or two with success. He seems like he can do it all.

Call him my early player crush leading up to the 2016 draft.

I like him a lot also. Silky smooth With good route running skills. Hard to argue the stats.

Corey Coleman is a guy the more I watch the more I like. A little smaller but built nice and can fly. Desean Jackson type to open up the field.
